Russian Railways cooperate with tourism industry
“Russian Railways” plan to establish a special unit that will cooperate with tour agencies. Nothing particular about the unit has been known yet.The details will be announced within two-three weeks, when the Russian Railways management will consider the information thoroughly. The meeting took place last week when Russian Railways Company was strongly criticized. However, Ms. Irina Solyankina, head of “Vand International”, Russian office, doubts that the situation will improve. Often change of management and company’s restructuring are the main reasons.
Mr. Mikhail Romanov, head of “Orpheus” company is optimistic. “We are constantly reminded that passenger transportations are unprofitable and losses are set up by traffic. But this is a fake argument.
